János Elek, the co-founder and CEO of Hydrogen Revolution Hungary Kft, is a chemist, who earned both his graduation and PhD degree in the development of aqueous hydrogenation catalytic systems. He is the Chairman of the Working Committee on Chemometrics and Chemoinformatics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The company is one of the few private research institutes that develops aqueous chemical hydrogen storage systems by combining the work of experienced theoreticians with the practical implementation of experienced engineers. Within the company he is responsible for the analytical support of catalyst development and reaction monitoring.
In addition to being a part-time lecturer at the University of Debrecen, he is involved in the toxicological testing and EU registration of several new chemical substances with his analytical service provider and scientific consultancy company, called Science Port Ltd.
